European Cooperation: Enhanced Back Office goes live in Greece

The Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation (OBI) has improved its Back Office system, with the support of the EUIPO’s European Cooperation Projects (ECP2).

The upgrade, which took place on 6 April 2021, is designed to enhance the user experience through the automation of operations related to persons, history section and tasks. The improvements aim to increase efficiency and operational effectiveness for users. The authentication system has also been enhanced, reinforcing its integration with their centralised user management service.

This important milestone at OBI is another example of improvements made to the Software Package Back Office. These improvements were developed by the EUIPO and offered to the national and regional intellectual property offices of the EU.

The implementation by OBI is the result of the work carried out by the EUIPO and its partners under the framework of the European Cooperation Projects (ECP2 – Improvement and upgrade of EUIPN tools). These projects help IP offices develop more efficient, reliable and user-friendly tools and services relating to trade marks and designs, within the European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN).
