European cooperation: the Austrian Patent Office successfully completes the Project Management Office project
The Austrian Patent Office (ÖPA) successfully completed the Project Management Office (PMO) project within the framework of the ECP5 Project Management Certification for IP Offices.
Project closure took place on 15 July 2021, making ÖPA the third national IP office to complete the PMO project after the Slovenian and Spanish IP Offices.
The aim of the project was to improve ÖPA internal project management processes and templates and define a clear strategy to set up a PMO.
The establishment of a PMO will provide ÖPA with applicable guidance, processes and tools to successfully set up, develop and maintain appropriate support and controlling structures for project management activities across the organisation.
