European cooperation: updated Fast Track for trade marks in Latvia

The Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia updated its front office (TM e-Filing) and back office systems on 14 July, with the support of the EUIPO’s European Cooperation Projects. These updates enabled some new features related to Fast Track applications.

The improvements affected several sections of the front and back office systems, such as the validation of goods and services, the monitoring and prioritisation of applications, and the management of attachments and deadlines. All these improvements help make the application for and examination of trade marks under Fast Track conditions more user-friendly and reliable.

These improvements were made within the framework of the European Cooperation Projects. The aim of these projects is to benefit users across the EU by providing European IP offices with modern, state-of-the-art tools and services.
