Malaysia joins TMclass
The Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) joined TMclass on 5 December 2016 bringing to 62 the total number of IP offices sharing their goods and services data via this international classification tool.
TMclass brings together the classification databases of national and regional IP offices around the world offering users the opportunity to search and translate terms in 42 languages.
MyIPO was already part of ASEAN TMclass, which contains goods and services data from the ASEAN member states of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Lao, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The tool has been developed by the Intellectual Property offices of the ASEAN member states with the support of the EU-ASEAN Project on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (ECAP III Phase II), a project for which the EUIPO is in charge of implementation.
