The WIPO Digital Access Service (DAS) helps you meet the Paris Convention’s requirements for providing priority and similar documents to participating offices, without the need to obtain and send multiple certified paper copies of an application. With a completely redesigned and user-friendly interface, the new TMview and DesignView provide a greatly enhanced navigation and search experience. The new version of the tools has been released following a beta testing period, during which user feedback was collected and guided further enhancements. New features include: - a wide set of search criteria is available in both tools and can be fine-tuned for a quicker and more efficient search, - previous searches can also be accessed directly from the home page in both TMview and DesignView, - compare trade marks and designs side by side. Users can also easily export search results to PDF, Excel and Word formats. The tools also offer the possibility for logged in users to set alerts when changes are made to specific trade marks and designs. Additionally, the saved preferences of logged in users remain available in the new versions of TMview and DesignView. In accordance with the Withdrawal Agreement concluded between the EU and the UK, the UK left the EU on 1 February 2020. As of 16 October 2017 The Patents and Trademarks Office of the Republic of San Marino (USBM) has made its trade mark and design data available to the TMview and Designview search tools. The integration of USBM is a concrete result of the International Cooperation programme managed by EUIPO in collaboration with its international partners. With USBM on board, TMview now contains data from 60 participating offices and Designview from 58 offices. With the addition of more than 3.000 trade marks from USBM, TMview provides information and access to more than 44,8 million trade marks in total. Designview contains more than 12,4 million designs, including almost 400 from USBM. Since the introduction of TMview on 13 April 2010, the tool has served more than 34,7 million searches from 157 different countries, with Spain, Germany and Italy among the most frequent users. As of today, 07 August 2017, design data from the Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt (DPMA), the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, has been added to DesignView. The addition of more than one and a half million German industrial designs brings the total number of designs in the database to over 12 million. The incorporation of DPMA’s design data into DesignView means that the design registers of every EU national and regional intellectual property office are now searchable through the tool. Since its launch in November 2012, DesignView has grown to become the world’s largest free, online, searchable design database, containing design data from 55 intellectual property offices across the world. The DPMA, which celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2017, is the largest intellectual property office in the EU at Member State level, processing over 130,000 patents, trade marks, utility models and designs in 2016.

The DesignEuropa Awards are geared towards firms and/or individuals that have, and successfully use, Registered Community Designs (RCDs). With CIPO, SIPO and USPTO on-board, there are now 35 participating offices in Designview. With the addition of more than 150.000 designs from CIPO, 3,3 million designs from SIPO and almost 725.000 designs from USPTO, Designview now provides information and access to more than 8,6 million industrial designs in total. Designview is now available in 30 languages with the addition of the Chinese (Simplified, PRC) language. Since the introduction of Designview on 19 November 2012, the tool has served about 1,2 million searches from 137 different countries, with users from Germany, Spain and the UK among the most frequent visitors.

ASEAN Designview have been officially launched on 25 August 2015 in Singapore, on the occasion of the celebration of this year´s IPOS IP week. The launch ceremony has taken place at the ASEAN IP Fiesta with the presence of Dr Michael Pulch, Ambassador of the European Union to Singapore, Ms Shahrinah Yusof Khan, Director General of the Intellectual Property Office of Brunei Darussalam and current Chairperson of the ASEAN Working Group for Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC), and Mr Ernesto Rubio, representing OHIM. ASEAN Designview contains more than 100,000 design registrations having effects in the participating ASEAN countries. These are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It is expected that Indonesia and Myanmar will also join soon. ASEAN Designview has been developed within the framework of ECAP III Phase II, the EU-ASEAN Project on Intellectual Property Cooperation, for which OHIM is the implementing Agency. The integration of SIPO is a concrete result of the Cooperation Fund Programme managed by OHIM in collaboration with its European partners. This last extension brings the total number of offices participating in DesignView to 30. Besides Croatia these are: Austria, Bulgaria, Benelux, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the OHIM. The total number of countries on-board also includes incorporations of non-EU offices: South Korea, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Turkey, Tunisia and Russia. With the addition of almost 9000 Croatian designs, DesignView now provides information and access to more than 4,2 million designs in total. Since the introduction of DesignView in November 2012, the tool has served more than 929.000 searches from 137 different countries, with users from Germany, Spain, the UK and France among the most frequent visitors.

As of 20 April 2015, the Tunisian Intellectual Property Office (INNORPI) has made its design data available to the DesignView search tool. The integration of INNORPI is a concrete result of the International Cooperation Programme managed by OHIM in collaboration with its international partners. As of 16 March 2015, the Turkish Patent Office (TPI) has made their design data available to the Designview search tool. The incorporation of TPI is due to the efforts of the International Cooperation programme managed by OHIM in collaboration with its international partners. With TPI on-board, there are now 28 participating offices in Designview. With the addition of 450,000 designs provided by TPI, Designview now provides information and access to around 4,1 million designs in total. Since the introduction of Designview on 19 November 2012, the tool has served more than 920.000 searches from 137 different countries, with users from Spain, Germany and the UK among the most frequent visitors.

As of 19 February 2015, the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) has made its design data available to the DesignView search tool. The integration of the HIPO is a concrete result of the Cooperation Fund Programme managed by OHIM in collaboration with its European partners. This last extension brings the total number of offices participating in DesignView to 27. Besides Hungary these are: Austria, Bulgaria, Benelux, Czech Republic, Estonia, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Cyprus, Denmark and the OHIM. The total number of countries on-board also includes incorporations of non-EU offices: South Korea, Mexico, Morocco, Norway and Russia. With the addition of almost 13.000 Hungarian designs, DesignView now provides information and access to more than 3,65 million designs in total. Since the introduction of DesignView in November 2012, the tool has served more than 800.000 searches from 135 different countries, with users from Germany, Spain, the UK and France among the most frequent visitors.

Please be informed that the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic (IPO-CZ) will be doing maintenance work from Monday 12 January 2015 to Wednesday 14 January 2015 (both days inclusive), on 20 January 2015 as well as on 22 January 2015. As a consequence IPO-CZ’s services to DSview might temporarily be unavailable during this periods.

Since the introduction of Designview on 19 November 2012, the tool has served more than 800.000 searches from 135 different countries, with users from Spain, Germany and the UK among the most frequent visitors.

The total number of countries on-board also includes 4 recent incorporations of non-EU offices: Mexico, Morocco, Norway and Russia. With the addition of more than 70.000 Austrian designs, Designview now provides information and access to more than 2,7 million designs in total. Since the introduction of Designview in November 2012, the tool has served more than 783.000 searches from 135 different countries, with users from Germany, Spain, the UK and France among the most frequent visitors.

Dear User, as of 08 December 2014, we are please to inform that the limit of a maximum of 100 results per office in the list of results has been eliminated. Together with this improvement, a new filter functionality has also been introduced, which replaces the old search status window, while at the same time it facilitates an easy way to narrow down a search with a few clicks without having to decide upon and insert further data for the search. At the same time these four offices mark the integrations of the first non-EU offices in Designview. With DKPTO, IMPI, OMPIC, NIPO and Rospatent on-board, there are now 23 participating offices in Designview. And with the addition of about 27.000 Danish designs, nearly 50.000 Moroccan designs, more than 27.000 Mexican designs, almost 26.000 Norwegian designs and more than 55.000 Russian designs, Designview now provides information and access to almost 2,7 million designs in total. Since the introduction of Designview on 19 November 2012, the tool has served nearly 783.000 searches from 135 different countries, with users from Spain, Germany and the UK among the most frequent visitors.

The Department of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver (DRCOR) which is part of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus, will soon make more than 300 designs available to DesignView, bringing the total to more than 2,5 million designs in the system.

Please be informed that the re-indexation announced on 17/10/2014 has finished. This means the participating offices’ data is again being updated daily.

Please be informed that starting today and during the following two weeks maintenance work including a full re-indexation of all data in TMview and DSview will take place. This re-indexation is needed because of some changes to be implemented with a new release of TMview and DSview and foreseen to go live in December 2014. As a result of the re-indexation, no daily updates will take place for any participating office throughout this two week period.

ETMDN Application Maintenance is being carried out this weekend. The work is being performed between 19:30 Friday 1 August until 15:00 Sunday 3 August. During this period Designview may experience performance issues and sporadic outages.

Please be informed that the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) is carrying out extensive maintenance work of its services to DSview. As a consequence Italian designs are not updated and the details page for Italian designs is not available until further notice.

The Italian office is the seventeenth office to become part of DesignView, joining Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain,Greece-OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia, Sweden,Lithuania, Czech Republic, France, Malta, Romania and OHIM. More than 300.000 Italian designs are now available online in DesignView, bringing the total number of designs available in the tool to approximately 2.3 million.

The Romanian office is the sixteenth office to become part of DesignView, joining Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain,Greece-OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia, Sweden,Lithuania, Czech Republic, France, Malta and OHIM. Approximately 41,000 Romanian designs are now available online in DesignView, bringing the total number of designs available in the tool to more than 2 million.

The Maltese office is the fifteenth office to become part of DesignView, joining Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain,Greece-OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia, Sweden,Lithuania, Czech Republic, France and OHIM. Approximately 1,500 Maltese designs, dating from 1923 to the present day, are now available online in DesignView, bringing the total number of designs available in the tool to 2 million.

The French Patent and Trademark Office (INPI FR) has been integrated into the Designview database, becoming the fourteenth Participant Office to do so. The other thirteen IP Offices that have integrated Designview are: Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain, Greece OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia, Sweden, Lithuania, Czech Republic and also OHIM. INPI FR brings almost 700.000 more designs from 1910 to today into Designview making the number of designs available in Designview approximately of 2 million.

As a consequence the Slovakian designs might not be updated on a daily basis and the design details page for Slovakian designs might not be available

As of January 1 , it will be possible to access more pictures of Spanish designs in Designview. Specifically , 254 278 images are included for a total of 137,656 designs and industrial designs . Other modifications of interest are: - The number of design (Design Number) is amended : For the designs of new law ( Law 20/ 2003 of 7 July on the Legal Protection of Industrial Design) design numbering in the file is completed with two extra zeros . For example , the design D0500001 -01 is renumbered in the number field design (Design Number) D0500001 -0001 . The designs from Previous International Examination keep the letters : A-J and X. - You can check the Previous owners : Holders of a design that have changed due to a Grant or a Change of Name. - The current state of design ( DesignCurrentStatusCodeType ) was expanded : It passes from the previous 4 states ( Filed , Registered , Expired and Ended ) to 9 current states (Registered and fully published, Registered and subject to deferment, Lack of effects, Design surrendered, Design declared invalid, Invalidity procedure pending, Design lapsed, Expiring y Application Published). In 2014 we will continue with the capture of designs and incorporating new bibliographic data.

The Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) has been today integrated into the Designview database, becoming the thirteenth National Office to do so. The other twelfth Offices that have integrated Designview are: Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain, Greece OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia, Czech, Lithuania and OHIM. More than 91.000 designs from PRV have been made available into Designview.

Today the registered designs data of the Lithuania State Patent Bureau (SPB) has been integrated into the Designview database. So, SPB became the twelfth National Office to do so. The other eleven Offices that have integrated Designview are: Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain, Greece OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia, Czech and OHIM. Almost 3.000 designs from SPB have been made available into Designview.

The Czech Intellectual Property Office (IPO CZ) has been today integrated into the Designview database, becoming the eleventh National Office to do so. The other ten Offices that have integrated Designview are: Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain, Greece OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia, Slovenia and OHIM. Near 59.000 designs from IPO CZ have been made available into Designview

The Slovenian Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) has been today integrated into the Designview database, becoming the tenth Participant Office to do so. The other eight IP Offices that have integrated Designview are: Portugal, Benelux, Estonia, Spain, Greece OBI, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Latvia and also OHIM. Near 4.000 designs from SIPO have been made available into Designview.

Please, be informed that according to §19 Industrial Design Protection Act a registration may include variants of a design. It is therefore recommended to view all images when Estonian designs are searched.

Please be informed that Latvian design information on the design details page will not be available on July 26 from 14:00 till 16:30 CEST.
